What is my Actual Cost per Copy?

Unitcostworksheet_2 Over the last few years I have been involved with many companies who are trying to determine what their actual cost is.  I had a discussion yesterday with someone who said that some of the tools we use at PLP would be useful to the whole industry.  Why not?  To make strides forward on profitability or performance it is important to baseline where you are today.

I am attaching a simple worksheet we have used to help determine what a reprographer's true unit cost is.  One of the most powerful components of this tool is that is shows not just what your unit cost is today, but how your unit cost changes as your monthly volume changes.  If you have any questions on this, please feel free to post them or to e-mail me.  The spreadsheet also has a link to a page where instructions, or changes will be posted.

Click here to download the spreadsheet.
